Are you a student at one of the schools currently targeted by Soulforce? If so, SAFE urges you to immediately contact your school’s student services coordinator, school library and bookstore about setting up a SAFE Learning Center at your school.

SAFE Learning Centers are designated reading areas where materials, books, and papers supporting a biblical worldview of sex, sexuality are visible and accessible for students to enrich their knowledge.

We’ll be compiling a list of books and resource papers for you to request from your bookstore or library and place them on our website.

Soulforce has published its list of targeted schools for the 2008 Equality Ride.

This is great news as it will allow SAFE to begin its work of contacting key personnel inside the schools.

Today members of the group SAFE launched the first phase of counter response to the Soulforce gay christian group Equality Riders. From now until the end of the Soulforce-backed assault against Christian schools, SAFE will be a voice of reason, truth and true equality.

SAFE which stands for Students Against False Equality was founded to advocate for open, effective responses to gay christian misinformation on Christian postsecondary campuses.

Since 2006, the Equality Riders have attempted to manipulate discussions about homosexuality be claiming that gay students at Christian colleges are discriminated against. ER have pressured schools using dishonest, media-driven tactics into one-sided “dialogue” on homosexuality. Much of it does not resemble true Christian faith, morality or doctrine.

In addition to misrepresenting true Christian morality, Soulforce Equality Riders are recruiting vunerable colleges students who are struggling with their sexuality. Unfortunately, once they are exposed to the half truths of this group, they are thrown into a deeper battle with sin and confusion.

Although Soulforce Equality Riders promise “equality” the only real offer is a life of sexual confusion and rebellion against God. Its time that students stood up against this company of bus riding bullies with truth. True equality does not come through rebelling against God’s standards, but submitting to God’s standards.

SAFE stands with the hundreds of God-honoring schools, parents, faculty, employees, administrators and alumna of Christian schools by providing balanced information, networking, strategies, and biblical perspective which will prepare them stop student manipulation by Soulforce Equality Riders.
